Cross-country driving is required

We understand that everyone wants to stay local as a commercial driver; however, to become a local driver you must have 6-12 months of driving experience. This is obtained through cross-country driving (being away from home for weeks). If you are not able to preform this type of work, truck driving as a vocation may not be suitable for you. Los Angeles County will not issue grants to those who cannot commit to employment upon graduation. The good news, within 6-12 months we will also help you find a local trucking job.
